Government and Embassy Fees
SAL charges per document, and the fee depends on whether the document is a government document or has passed through a notary. These amounts are SAL's, not ours, and are shown on your receipt exactly as charged.
| Fee | Amount at the time of writing | How it appears in your quote |
|---|---|---|
| SAL apostille on a Singapore government document (e.g. ICA birth certificate, ROM marriage certificate) | S$10.70 | Included in our S$29 apostille price; added to our embassy attestation price |
| SAL authentication of a notarised document | S$87.20 | Included in our notary prices |
| Photocopy made and legalised by SAL at its counter | S$11.77 (S$10.70 + S$1.07) | Shown separately if needed |
| Embassy fee (non-Hague countries only) | Set by each embassy, e.g. Royal Thai Embassy S$30 per document, Qatar Embassy S$45 per personal document | Passed on at cost |
The destination country's foreign ministry fee (for example UAE MOFA) is paid in that country, not in Singapore, and is not part of our quote.
Four Typical Examples
These show how a quote is built. Your own quote may differ.

| Degree for a UAE job (non-Hague) | SAL + UAE Embassy in Singapore | From S$99 + S$10.70 SAL + UAE Embassy fee at cost |
| Marriage and child's birth certificate for a UAE family visa | SAL + UAE Embassy, two documents in one order | From S$99 + S$49 + 2 × S$10.70 SAL + UAE Embassy fees at cost |
| Power of attorney for India (Hague) | Notary + SAL apostille | From S$219, notary and SAL fees included |
The prices shown above are starting prices. Your final price depends on the document type, number of pages and destination country, and will be confirmed in a written quotation before any work begins.
What Makes a Quote Go Up — and What Does Not
The number of documents and pages, a non-Hague destination, translation, a mobile visit and priority handling are the only things that change the total. We never charge for a step your destination does not need. If an apostille is enough, we will say so.
Price Questions We Are Asked Most
Is the quote all-in?
Yes. The written quote lists our price, the SAL fee (or notes that it is included) and every embassy fee. If an embassy changes its fee before submission, we tell you before paying it.
Why is the SAL fee different for my two documents?
A government document goes to SAL directly for S$10.70. A private document is first notarised, and SAL then charges S$87.20 to authenticate the notary's certificate. Both are included in our apostille and notary prices.
Do I pay the embassy myself?
No. We pay the embassy fee at cost when we submit and show it on your invoice with the embassy's receipt.
Is there a charge for checking my document?
No. Send a photo on WhatsApp and we will tell you the route and the total before you decide.
Can I get a refund if I change my mind?
Fees are not refundable once your order is confirmed. If anything goes wrong because of an error on our side, we redo the work and reissue the document at no extra charge. Our terms and conditions set this out in full.
Do you issue invoices to companies?
Yes. Invoices are issued in your company's name on request.
